Exiting Egypt Chapter 8 P1
Exiting Egypt
“The Second Plague – Frogs Everywhere”
By Dennis Lee: Chapter 8 P1
Exodus 8:1-15
A world of facts could easily be declared about God, all proclaiming who He is and His works, not to mention that He has no equal, which is what we are looking in these ten plagues. There is just no one, and no god, like our God.
• He is the only one who can truly forgive sins.
• He is the only one that can give full assurance of living forever in the Promised Land of heaven.
• He is the only one that can fulfill the longs and needs of the human heart.
• He is the only one who can teach us the depths of the riches both of His wisdom and knowledge (Rom. 11:33).
• He is the only one who could ever die for our sin, who could ever pay the perfect price for our sins ever to be forgiven.
• He is the only one who could ever arise from the dead, thus conquering death.
• And He is the only one who can give us victory every day over the trials and tribulations of life, not to mention the temptations.
• He is truly God.
But the Egyptians had rejected God and turned to the evil sinful ways of the world, turned to idolatry, and to the brutalization and enslavement of people. Because they did not repent, now God’s judgment begins to fall in the form of these plagues.
The first plagues was now over, but they still refused to obey God’s call to let His people go so that they could serve and worship Him. So now God is about to launch the second plague, and in a way it is almost comical, a plague of frogs, but through this plague, what it reveals is that God truly has no equal, that no one is like Him.
